Job Title: Travel Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team as a travel therapist in Palmdale, California. As a travel Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing plans of care for patients in the acute care setting. This will involve working closely with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused approach to patient care.

The ideal candidate will have 6 months of experience and be licensed to practice in the state of California. A strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and create plans of care for patients in the acute care setting
  • Work closely with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused approach to patient care
  • Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff
  • Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
  • Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
  • Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
  • Understand adaptive equipment
  • Evaluate and create a plan of care
  • Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
  • Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Licensure to practice in the state of California
  • A strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
