Senior Estimator

DeAngelis Diamond is a leading construction management firm seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction process, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality estimates and drive business growth.

• Manage the estimating process from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of estimates.
• Lead teams of estimators on large, complex projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, designers, and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the estimating process.
• Assemble conceptual budgets and updates during design progression, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
• Strategize with the DeAngelis Diamond team to develop winning approaches for each pricing exercise, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
• Review bid documents to identify constructability issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring accurate and complete estimates.
• Manage the RFI process, collaborating with designers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Generate project interest, confirm bid coverage, and exchange critical information with the subcontractor community, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Develop scope checklists, level bids, and coordinate bid revisions with subcontractors, ensuring accurate and complete estimates.
• Build estimates capturing all necessary costs, assemble final deliverables, and participate in owner review meetings and presentations.
• Negotiate and award subcontracts after a successful bid process, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
• Assemble and turnover project information to operations, collaborating with the project manager to ensure successful project execution.

• 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in commercial, healthcare, and multi-family project types.
• Proven ability to assemble complete and accurate winning estimates, with a strong understanding of bid processes, contracts, negotiations, and winning strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams, build strong relationships, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Box, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, ProEst, and On Screen Take-off, with a strong understanding of construction software and technologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
