Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit knowledge of medications and their appropriate administration based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Provide patient care tailored to the specific needs of various age groups, including geriatric and general rehabilitation patients.
  • Assist with patient assessments and reassessments under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, identifying and initiating suitable rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Conduct timely and precise quality improvement assessments under RN supervision.
  • Implement the care plan according to patient needs and treatment responses, evaluating its effectiveness daily and updating the interdisciplinary care plan as necessary.
  • Engage professionally with patients and their families, involving them in the care planning process.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in assessing and managing pain, utilizing appropriate techniques and educating patients and families on pain management strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state.
  • CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
  • IV Certification required or to be obtained within six months is highly preferred.
  • Preferred experience of at least six months in a Medical/Surgical acute care setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
