Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with basic office medical functions, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Perform patient and family education, counseling, and teaching to promote health and wellness.
  • Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and perform clerical work, including referrals, scheduling appointments, and answering phones.
  • Assist with exams and procedures, stock rooms, and maintain equipment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and in-services to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  • Assume charge position as required in the absence of supervisory personnel.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical setting.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable with phone calls, greetings, processing, mailing, and cleaning.
  • BLS certification (AHA) is not required.
Certification Requirements
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
