Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse B position at Loma Linda University Medical Center requires a skilled professional to perform the nursing process with minimal supervision.

This role involves utilizing discretion and independent judgment in applying the nursing process to provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will function in a skills-mix environment, directly supervising and delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.

To be successful in this role, applicants must meet qualifications, licensure, certifications, and competencies as defined in the unit or department-specific Plan for Providing Care.

Professional growth and development are encouraged through the application of theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expanding knowledge base and clinical skills in the area of specialty.

A high level of professionalism is required to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and interpersonal relationships.

The selected candidate will contribute to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population.

Key Responsibilities include performing technical patient care activities, troubleshooting and calibrating patient care equipment, and leading, supervising, teaching, and collaborating with colleagues.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required for this position.
  • One year of nursing experience is necessary for this role.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for this position.
  • Able to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple assignments.
  • Organizational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate records and files.
  • Paying close attention to detail is crucial for this role.
Licensures and Certifications:
  • An active California Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association is also necessary.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
