Senior A&P Mechanic Job Summary

At Total Aerospace Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior A&P Mechanic to join our team in Battle Creek, MI. As a Senior A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for leading maintenance, repairs, and inspections on general aviation aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform annual and return-to-service inspections on various aircraft models, utilizing calibrated tools for accurate measurements and adjustments.
  • Leadership and Training: Mentor and train junior mechanics on maintenance techniques, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with other departments for efficient maintenance coordination, ensuring seamless communication and timely completion of tasks.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues, using your expertise and experience to find solutions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document maintenance activities accurately and timely, maintaining detailed records of all work performed.
  • Travel and Field Operations: Travel for field maintenance operations as required, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Certification: Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience with Textron, Cirrus, Piper, and similar aircraft models.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in English.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel for field maintenance operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inspection Authorization and Pilot's License: Inspection Authorization (IA) and Pilot's License.
  • General Aviation Experience: Experience with general aviation aircraft.
  • Familiarity with Aircraft Models: Familiarity with Textron, Cirrus, and similar models.
