Job Overview

CROSS COUNTY MEDICAL CARE is seeking a skilled Clinical Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and coding patient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS or CPT coding guidelines.

The successful candidate will have 2 years of experience in outpatient coding and proficiency in eClinicalWorks (ECW) Medical EHR System. Certification is preferred but not required.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Coding Responsibilities: Review, analyze, and code patient records utilizing all prevailing coding guidelines and conventions.
  • Documentation Clarification: Query physicians for clarification of documentation as needed.
  • Productivity Standards: Meet or exceed coding productivity standards as per department policies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with CMS and other regulatory compliance guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: 2 years of outpatient coding experience; certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in eClinicalWorks (ECW) Medical EHR System.
