IPS Specialist

First Resources Corp. of Ottumwa is seeking a dedicated and energetic Employment Support Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Support Specialist, you will work directly with individuals to assist with community-based employment, providing the necessary job supports and training to secure and maintain a job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of individuals' employment goals and related service documents, implementing all services as outlined in the plan.
• Attends meetings with other providers and works closely with IHH providers.
• Completes required trainings according to established agency timelines and attends staff meetings as scheduled.
• Makes recommendations to improve services based on knowledge acquired through implementation of program plan and experience with individuals served.
• Establishes positive relationships with individuals served, family members, and referral sources, demonstrating appropriate communication and maintaining clear and professional boundaries.
• Advocates and offers choices that support individuals' rights and responsibilities.
• Responsible for reporting any health and safety concerns and keeps supervisor informed of important incidents and issues concerning individuals served.
• Strictly adheres to confidentiality guidelines and works the schedule agreed upon with supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and show proof of auto insurance.
• Experience is preferred, but not required; we provide the training and tools needed to be successful at First Resources Corp.

Position will be primarily based out of the Ottumwa office, with some work required in surrounding communities. Hours are flexible and built around clients' schedules.
