Job Summary

Hunter Douglas is a leading manufacturer of window coverings and architectural products, seeking a skilled Molding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently setting injection molds to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently set, cycle-in, and troubleshoot injection molds
  • Set-up process-related equipment, including dryers, hoppers, and color feeders
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and document mold issues
  • Read part drawings and verify parts for quality requirements
  • Perform color changes and start-up/shut-down injection molding machines
  • Perform preventive maintenance on molds and troubleshoot/minor maintenance on equipment
  • Use measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • 6+ months of injection molding experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of injection molding and related equipment a plus
  • Capable of learning and developing process parameters for injection molding machines
  • Ability to work safely under pressure and at a fast pace
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in an environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Responsible for taking an active role in plant-wide safety activities
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, WorkKeys desired
  • Ability to work a Monday-Friday schedule with weekend overtime as needed
