Job Summary

The Production Supervisor 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality brake linings. This role involves optimizing production equipment and team members to ensure product quality and meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership in resolving technical and production-related problems to ensure completion of weekly schedules.
  • Supervise a team of approximately 12 production operators and ensure adherence to all safety and quality requirements.
  • Oversee and perform maintenance work necessary to maintain machine operations.
  • Train machine operators on procedures, methods, problem-solving, programming, quality requirements, and safety.
  • Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
  • Perform trial and prototype equipment modifications for brake lining equipment.
  • Maintain daily production output and quality reports for transmission to corporate.
  • Maintain inventory of essential production tools and support materials.

Requirements

  • Machine reliability experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management of maintenance activities.
  • Lead/Implemented plant preventative maintenance.
  • Mechanical/Electrical Devices troubleshooting experience.
  • Pneumatic / Hydraulic maintenance experience (a plus).
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of operating experience on mechanical assembly equipment.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and process control is desirable.
