Physical Therapist

Roscoe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain. You will use a variety of techniques, including hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ice/heat, and more to help your patients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients to understand their physical condition and develop or follow a treatment plan. Participate in family care plan meetings and educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care. Create personalized fitness-oriented healthcare programs for patients. Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility. Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding patients. Document patient care history. Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric residents. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Background Check. Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required. Current PT license in NYS required. Must have knowledge, skills, and techniques of age-specific developmental factors and be able to evaluate patients. Must have up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs. Experience in long-term care preferred. Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable. Strong customer service skills and compassion.
Benefits:
Salary, shift, and benefits; $33 to $37 hourly, depending on experience, shift varies. Benefits include; Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, and Holidays.
