Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of merchandise and materials throughout our distribution center.

• Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, inspecting the equipment prior to use and following established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks, inspecting and preparing delivery trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receive all merchandise and materials delivered to the club, lifting, reserving, and dropping pallets of merchandise to and from the overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Transport merchandise, material, and pallets safely throughout the club, utilizing a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food merchandise, ensuring that merchandise is fully stocked and handling damaged and spoiled merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the club is neat, clean, and organized, performing general maintenance duties including removing trash and cardboard from the club.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings, returning merchandise back to the sales floor and greeting all Members, providing prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures, performing other duties as assigned and working in other departments as needed.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

The majority of the time is spent standing and moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, with occasional exposure to temperature extremes in freezer or cooler units and occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
