Salary Information

We offer competitive hourly rates for this role, estimated to be around $ $140-$160 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Job Description Summary

This CRNA General Anesthesia position is located at MUSC Health - Columbia Medical Center Downtown, a 332-bed hospital in the heart of downtown Columbia, SC. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a dedicated Anesthesia Care Team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include administering general anesthesia for a broad mix of cases, working closely with surgeons and other medical professionals, and participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest anesthesia techniques and technologies. This full-time opportunity offers 24-hour shifts, 8 shifts per month, and requires a strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and patient safety.

Minimum Training, Education, and Experience Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:
  • A graduate degree from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs-approved program;
  • Experience administering major vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, as well as anesthesia for outpatient surgery;
  • Insurable by the medical malpractice insurer of MUSC for the required limits;
  • Recognition as an APRN or eligibility to obtain practice in the state of South Carolina;
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an American Health Association (AHA) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers.
