Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Acara Health. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and clients.

Job Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide occupational therapy services to patients and clients of all age groups. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients and clients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' and clients' occupational performance, including their ability to perform daily living activities, work, and leisure activities.
  • Develop and implement interventions to address deficits and promote occupational performance, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
  • Document patient and client progress, including assessment results, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapist assistant with an associate level degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Active state license as an occupational therapist assistant.
  • Current driver's license.
