Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide. This role is integral to maintaining a clean and safe environment within our healthcare facilities.
Role Summary: The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing cleaning tasks to ensure that the facility remains orderly, appealing, and hygienic.
Shift Details:
Evening Shift: 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM
This position offers eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and standards to ensure compliance.
- Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct daily cleaning of occupied rooms to foster a sanitary environment for patients.
- Prepare units for discharge and surgical procedures, ensuring thorough cleaning post-procedure.
- Maintain cleanliness in public and office areas, including waste disposal and floor care.
- Respond promptly to spills and breakages to mitigate potential hazards.
- Complete special assignments as directed and report progress to supervisors.
- Understand and comply with security protocols regarding medications and IV solutions.
- Restock paper supplies and manage linen distribution to support patient care.
- Utilize cleaning supplies and equipment effectively to promote safety and cost efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in housekeeping or environmental services.
- Able to lift weights up to 40 lbs frequently.
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
- Ability to maneuver cleaning carts and equipment weighing over 100 lbs.
- Comfortable handling various cleaning chemicals.
- Willingness to work during weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Skilled in repetitive cleaning tasks and physical movements.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to operate automated cleaning machinery as required by the job.
- Proficiency in English language comprehension.
