Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Aegis Worldwide. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in designing and developing custom automated machinery, managing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: 75% of your time will be spent on designing and developing automation systems, including machined and formed components, parts conveyance, part fixturing, vision systems, and articulating robot arms.
  • Project Management: You will manage concurrent projects and associated tasks in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring timely success of every system.
  • Collaboration: You will collaborate with Project Managers and interdepartmental teams to develop the best design for every system.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer, design engineer, product engineer, or related roles with a preference in machinery design.
  • 5+ years of experience with automation design or capital equipment design.
  • Experience working on projects with budgets over $1M.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D solid modeling using AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with FEA, PFMEA, analysis, and design of steel structures or weldments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degrees.
  • Experience overseeing junior engineers or mentoring/training.
  • Experience in client or customer-facing work.
