Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations, including physical assessments, to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks) to document patient information and track treatment progress.
  • Provide direct patient care in various settings, including home care and intensive care units (ICU).
  • Perform IV insertions and other invasive procedures with the necessary safety precautions and aseptic technique.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients and their families to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive the support they require.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare staff.
  • Support patients with developmental disabilities and other special needs, providing individualized care and assistance with daily living activities.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state where the position is located.
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation techniques and experience with ICD-9 coding.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks) and the ability to navigate medical records efficiently.
  • Aseptic technique and IV insertion skills.
  • Experience working with patients in home care settings and ICUs.
  • Experience working with patients with developmental disabilities and other special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a strong foundation in nursing skills and knowledge.
Work Environment

This is a contract position with Alto Healthcare Staffing, offering a competitive hourly rate of $32.00 per hour. The expected hours of work are 40 per week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
