Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Travel MRI Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in MRI technology and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for performing patient studies according to set protocols, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils close to the area of interest.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including keying commands to specify scan sequences into the computer, adjusting transmitters and receivers, and keying in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address patient concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety, including explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements:
  • Two years of regular (20 hours or more per week) continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist.
  • License in the required state.
  • BLS.
  • Must be fully proficient in MRI and have knowledge of the required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
