Endoscopy Technician

Join our team at Fairview Health Services as an Endoscopy Technician in our busy Endo/GI department at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to assist our medical team in providing exceptional patient care. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Endo/GI department, handling tasks such as equipment and supply setup, specimen collection, and cleaning and disinfection of equipment and scopes.

• Assist in data collection to identify patient needs, problems, concerns, or human responses.
• Implement the established plan of care, as delegated by the RN.
• Assist the physician and nurse before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Reprocess and maintain equipment according to standards of infection prevention, policies, and manufacturers' instructions.
• Provide and maintain a healthy and safe environment for patients and staff.

• 6 months of experience working in an endoscopy or gastroenterology setting or cleaning endoscopy equipment.
• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist/Technician, Endoscopy Tech, or Instrument (Sterile Processing) Tech Program.
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare providers by start date.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech, Endoscopy Tech, or Instrument Tech (Sterile Processing) Program.
• Experience in an endo unit, GI unit, and cleaning of equipment.
• Work experience in a patient support role (nursing assistant, PCA, or similar).
