Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Staff Attorney to join our team. As a Staff Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing civil legal assistance to eligible low-income and elderly individuals in our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Interview and certify clients' eligibility for legal assistance
- Identify and address clients' legal problems in areas such as housing, domestic violence, public benefits, consumer law, elder law, education, and immigration
- Represent clients in court and before administrative agencies
- Provide documentation and statistical information as required
- Participate in outreach and training activities
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- Barred in Florida
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
The Staff Attorney will work in a professional office environment and be required to travel occasionally.
