Job Summary
This role involves performing adult echocardiography and stress/echo tests, maintaining work logs, working closely with physicians to ensure protocols are established and met, and providing preliminary reports.
The Sonographer will greet and confirm patients, assist patients with appropriate attire for procedures, explain procedures, length and expectations along with desired results, and properly position patients for procedures and inform patients of what they may expect during actual imaging.
This role requires developing professionalism through continuing education programs and in-services and complying with all policies of the system with the intention of delivering the highest quality of service.
Education and Training
Graduate of an accredited program for training for Echocardiogram Technology and licensure as required by the State of South Carolina and other applicable credentialing and licensing authorities.
RDCS required, Basic Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
