We are seeking a skilled LPN/RN to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Perform patient care responsibilities considering the standard of care for patients of all ages.
- Assess and reassess patients' needs, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
- Utilize appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families on pain management.
- Administer medications correctly based on age and patient condition, following the five medication rights to reduce medication errors.
- Revise and evaluate the plan of care daily for effectiveness.
- Formulate a teaching plan based on identified patient learning needs and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of an RN.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity, identifying and addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.
- Interact professionally with patients/families and involve them in the formation of the plan of care.
- Consult other departments as needed to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patients' needs.
- LPN or RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in a medical office setting.
- Understanding, courtesy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, visitors, employees, and medical staff.
- Bachelor of Science degree.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
