Antenna and RF Engineer

As an Antenna and RF Engineer, you will become part of the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED), which comprises all aspects of main-mission communication satellites, wideband links, command and telemetry, and terrestrial networks.
In this role, you will assist senior staff in laboratory prototyping work, including designing, building, and testing antenna, RF, and digital systems. You will learn industry-standard antenna analysis tools, such as HFSS and GRASP, and perform RF measurements and antenna measurements.
You will also support design and analysis of various antenna types, including reflectors, horns, wire antennas, and microstrip antennas, and process and analyze data using software tools like MATLAB or Python.
This position requires a strong understanding of electromagnetics and RF/analog electronics, as well as experience working in an electronics laboratory environment.
Additionally, you will work with other engineers as a team member in solving problems and must possess strong written and oral communication skills, organizational, time management, and project management skills, and interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline, previous internship with The Aerospace Corporation, and completed introductory course in electromagnetics and/or RF/analog electronics.
