Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Delaware Park Casino & Racing. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and delivery of goods, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, and adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including storage areas and stockrooms.
  • Deliver requested orders to departments in a timely manner.
  • Conduct examinations on perishable food items delivered to the Commissary.
  • Ensure all products meet company specifications and adhere to Local, State, and Federal Health Department Codes and ABC Regulations.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication with team members and guests.
  • Participate in physical inventories and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous receiving experience preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in receiving, including food products.
  • Valid driver's license and minimum two years of driving record with no points.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use a hand truck and basic mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for at least a full eight-hour shift and lift up to 80 pounds.
