Medical Laboratory Technician Job Description

At destinationone Consulting, we are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing laboratory tests on patient samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct various laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and tissue analysis.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Record and report test results accurately and promptly to medical staff.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to interpret results and inform patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
  • Certification by a recognized body, such as ASCP or CSMLS.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
