About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join our team at Aquent. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a key role in championing strategic thinking and driving the development of new features for our higher education and professional learners. You will partner closely with content, product, and engineering teams to improve the current experience and take ownership of our product by solving complex problems in simple, elegant ways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and create the user experience for specific areas of our products
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams throughout the product development process
  • Understand and advocate for user needs
  • Define key metrics to track success and business impact
  • Maintain clear team alignment around goals and priorities
  • Approach an open-ended problem space with vigor and clarity
  • Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem
  • Guide user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency
  • Be data-driven and iteratively improve the experience
  • Design for AI-driven teaching and learning experiences

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of product design experience with an online portfolio of relevant design work
  • Skilled in design at the detail and systems level
  • Confident communicator who can clearly articulate your process, approach, and rationale to others
  • Experience designing for AI-driven experiences, including LLMs
  • Experience working in a collaborative team comprised of other designers, content strategists, product managers, and developers
  • Prior experience defining and leading user research efforts
  • Awareness of design trends across web and mobile devices
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Experience working in an Agile, lean UX, and mobile-first environment
  • Understanding of the relationship between visual, interaction, and content disciplines
  • Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in design and/or HCI-related field
  • Design for conversational interfaces (preferred)
  • Experience with educational content (preferred)

What We Offer:

Aquent offers a competitive compensation package, including a target hiring compensation range of $47.99 to $53.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. We also offer a range of benefits, including subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match. Additionally, we provide free online training through Aquent Gymnasium.
