Key Responsibilities:- Explaining Procedures to Patients: Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provide appropriate educational material.
- Patient Transportation and Verification: Transport patients to and from clinical areas and verify patient identity according to policies and procedures.
- Preparing Patients for Radiology Exams: Prepare patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure.
- Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
- Contrast Media and Medications: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Monitoring Patient Activity: Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and other areas.
- Education: Completion of a radiology certification program.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Physical Requirements: Constant standing and walking, frequent use of vision and depth perception, and occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
