Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstruction. You will evaluate patients for the presence of peripheral vascular disease, select the most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines, and perform diagnostic procedures to record patient test results and report results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstruction.
  • Evaluate patients for the presence of peripheral vascular disease and select the most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures to record patient test results and report results.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition, reporting deficiencies and failures.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other areas in the department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by the Maryland Board of Physicians required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
