Job Summary: The successful candidate will work closely with a preschool child, providing one-on-one support and attending therapy sessions as required. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

  • Shadow the child in the classroom and provide emotional support and comfort
  • Accompany the child to therapy sessions, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy
  • Respond promptly to any medical emergencies that may arise
  • Perform various paraprofessional duties as needed, supporting the child's overall well-being
  • Collaborate with the child's healthcare team to ensure seamless care and support

Requirements:

  • Holding a GED or high school diploma is essential
  • A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working as a paraprofessional is required
  • The ability to administer Epi-Pen training is mandatory
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work with medically fragile children in a school environment
  • Fingerprinting by the Board of Education is a necessary requirement
  • Mandated Reporter certification is also a prerequisite
  • Recent Quantiferon TB test results (within the last 12 months) are essential
  • A Pre-employment Physical Exam (within the last 12 months) is required
  • Titer tests and lab paperwork (within the last 12 months) for MMR, TDAP, and Varicella are necessary

Compensation: $18.50 per hour, offering a competitive salary and opportunities for growth and development.
