Position Summary

As a key member of the Care Team at Hopscotch, you will play an essential role in facilitating patient care and enhancing patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include engaging with patients during their visits, identifying their needs, and implementing care plans to ensure effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support both the healthcare provider and the patient to foster positive outcomes and experiences. Your specific duties will encompass:

  • Welcoming patients prior to their appointments and setting clear expectations.
  • Preparing for necessary services or procedures within the clinic.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment in examination rooms.
  • Facilitating smooth patient flow by preparing for visits and assisting providers in adhering to their schedules.
  • Gathering vital signs and reviewing patient medications.
  • Collecting lab specimens and performing basic tests as required.
  • Administering patient screenings and assisting physicians as necessary.
  • Providing care in accordance with established training and regulations.
  • Communicating patient needs to the primary care provider and the broader Care Team.
  • Coordinating diagnostic testing and assisting with medical equipment applications.

You will also collaborate with the Care Team to provide ongoing support to patients outside of their visits, including:

  • Offering telephonic assistance in line with protocols.
  • Participating in team meetings to discuss patient care and operational matters.
Clinic Maintenance

This role also involves contributing to the upkeep of the clinic, which includes:

  • Ordering and stocking medical supplies.
  • Conducting routine quality control checks and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant healthcare training.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician is preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
