Position Title: Full-time Radar Simulation Training Specialist at SAIC
We invite qualified individuals to become part of the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team, contributing to the training of Air Traffic Controllers.
Position Overview:
- The Radar Simulation Training Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the education and development of FAA En Route Air Traffic Controllers within a simulation environment.
- Involvement in the Initial En Route Qualification Training program and various other Air Traffic Control Training initiatives.
- Must obtain Radar Simulation Training Specialist Certification by successfully completing both written assessments and practical evaluations.
SAIC is committed to maintaining high safety standards in air traffic control, employing a workforce of over 14,000 specialists who oversee the National Airspace System.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the capability to secure and uphold Public Trust clearance.
Minimum qualifications include:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in training Air Traffic Controllers.
- Familiarity with air traffic simulation technologies within the past 5 years.
- Previous experience as an FAA certified Radar Air Traffic Controller at Level 10 or higher.
Alternatively:
- U.S. military controller certification with training in En Route Airspace and Operations.
- Experience in training for Air Traffic Control Operations.
Educational Background:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
SAIC is continuously accepting applications.
