Job Summary

Conduct Detrimental LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join its team. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to the organization in relation to disputes and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispute Resolution: Efficiently and effectively handle labor disputes between parties, including players and clubs, coaches and clubs or associations, and with club/club disputes in connection with the transfer of a player before the FIFA Football Tribunal.
  • Contract Interpretation: Interpret players' employment and transfer-related contracts and prepare case files for decision by the members of the FIFA Football Tribunal, taking into account existing FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) jurisprudence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Handle procedures regarding matters pending before the Players Status Chamber of the FIFA Football Tribunal, including:
    • Minor Protection
    • Player Registration and International Transfers
    • Change of Association and Eligibility of Players to Play for National Teams
    • Release and Late Return Matters
  • Transfer Matching System (TMS) Support: Provide legal services for TMS matters.
  • Regulatory Advice: Give written and/or oral advice on the regulations as well as on general legal issues to parties involved.
  • Tribunal Support: Support the members of the FIFA Football Tribunal.
  • Jurisprudence Oversight: Keep an overview of FIFA and CAS jurisprudence.
  • Litigation Support: Support the Litigation Department when needed within the scope of appeals lodged against FIFA's decisions before CAS.
