POSITION OVERVIEW

The Certified Radiation Therapist is an ARRT Registered professional responsible for delivering radiation treatment as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. This role involves interaction with a diverse group of individuals, including patients diagnosed with cancer, medical practitioners, nursing staff, family members of patients, and colleagues. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential for this position. Given that cancer can affect individuals of any age, the Therapist will engage in the care of patients ranging from infants to the elderly.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiation Therapist
  • Understanding of departmental operations, the rationale behind radiation therapy, and the ability to communicate this effectively to nursing staff, physicians, and the public
  • Previous experience in a Radiation Oncology Department is preferred but not mandatory

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)
