Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and on-site inspections for Energy sector accounts, focusing on Power Generation and Renewable Energy.
- Effectively communicate insights to underwriters to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with clients to implement loss control strategies, interpret findings from loss control assessments, and execute recommended actions.
- Engage in organizational initiatives aimed at improving team efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology is required.
- Over 10 years of experience in risk insurance or the Power Generation and Renewable Energy sectors.
- Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of process safety management.
- Ability to evaluate risks associated with environmental factors such as wind, flood, and seismic activity.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-centered approach.
- Experience in the industry and a Professional Engineer designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical capability to perform necessary job functions and adhere to safety equipment requirements.
Impactful Contributions:
- Perform loss control assessments and account evaluations across a diverse range of Energy accounts.
- Facilitate regular client service meetings involving underwriting, brokers, and clients.
- Analyze and prioritize risk improvement strategies in collaboration with clients.
- Develop engineering service budgets tailored to client needs.
- Review and assess Power Generation and Renewable Energy field survey reports.
- Conduct or oversee property loss prevention surveys for key facilities.
- Provide technical analysis of facility loss prevention measures, including:
- Evaluating process safety management systems and equipment safety features.
- Identifying potential hazards and assessing protective measures.
- Evaluating external risk factors impacting facilities.
- Estimating potential losses from fire and natural disasters.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members.
- Participate in regional or global projects and presentations.
