Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Surgical Technologist Intern operates under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and/or Surgical Technician in the Operating Room, contributing to the safe and efficient execution of invasive surgical procedures. This role is crucial in maintaining a secure operating room environment, ensuring that all equipment is functional, and that surgical procedures are performed under optimal conditions to enhance patient safety. As part of the intern program, Surgical Technologist Interns will actively engage in learning both the theoretical and practical aspects of sterile and aseptic techniques, integrating knowledge of human anatomy, surgical methods, and the use of tools and technologies to assist physicians in performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Current enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technology program in good standing, having completed all clinical training as outlined by the program.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
