Job Overview

Ameresco is seeking a skilled Controls Installer to work on new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities around the Fort Myers area.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in commercial electrical work and be proficient in Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Installation: Performs a variety of technical functions, such as proper installation of control wiring, conduit, control panels, and project record documentation.
  • Client Relations: Ensures client expectations are met and takes a lead role in developing client relationships.
  • Communication: Establishes and maintains open communication with clients, business partners, and other internal stakeholders to keep all essential project activities running smoothly.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • GED or equivalent diploma.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with proper use of PPE and basic OSHA rules.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Excellent EMT conduit bending skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with materials, equipment, and devices commonly used in commercial electrical installations.
  • Familiarity with common wiring methods used on commercial electrical projects.
  • Familiarity with basic lighting control circuitry.
  • Ability to install and make terminations inside panel boards, VFDs, DDC, and similar equipment.
  • Good knowledge of NEC requirements for common installations in commercial projects.
  • Capable of operating scissor lifts.
  • Journeyman license is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 is a plus.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year.
