About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Information Specialist I to join our team at Datavant. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient health information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, faxing, and mail handling.
  • Meet productivity expectations and adapt to changing priorities and role needs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a medical records or release of information role.
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience, with a focus on meeting productivity expectations.
  • In-person customer service experience, with a strong ability to build relationships with clients and patients.
