Job Title: Cook

Job Summary:
The Cook position at Westwood Public Schools is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to students. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the shift to prepare for meal service.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary food environment, adhering to HACCP guidelines and proper food labeling and rotation practices.
- Reheat and hold temperatures, and maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and assist the Executive Chef as needed.

Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds off the floor and 25 pounds overhead.
- Serve Safe Certified (certification may be obtained after hire).
- Allergen Training is required (certification may be obtained after hire).
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- C.P.R. training (certification may be obtained after hire).
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment, handle problems as they arise, and adjust to the situation accordingly.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7am-2:30pm (30 hours/week), subject to change as needs change.
