Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler - Explosive Ordnance Specialist to join our team at Synectic Solutions, Inc. (SSI). As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of explosive ordnance and related materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explosive Ordnance Movement: Maintain explosive magazines, ensuring they are properly cleaned, organized, and contents are properly marked for fluent movement between facilities.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on MK 13, MK 25 missile canisters, and MK 28, MK 29, MK 37 (Packaging Handling Storing Transporting PHS&T) canister cradles, including washing, corrosion control, and touch-ups.
  • Sampling and Inspection: Perform sampling of magazines and production buildings to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Be a forklift certified operator and provide physical movements and staging of components, ensuring accurate tracking and identification, proper warehousing and storage.
  • Issue and Receipt Inspections: Perform issue and receipt inspections to ensure items were not damaged during shipment.
  • Delivery and Transfer: Deliver, move, transfer items from one location to another, ensuring timely and efficient movement.
  • Obsolete/Excess Materials: Identify and verify obsolete/excess materials, and perform daily verification of material availability.
  • Container Repair: Perform minor sanding, touch-ups, re-stenciling, minor repairs of containers and canisters.
Requirements
  • A valid California Drivers' License.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and be susceptible to random drug tests.
  • Must successfully screen to handle Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Screening.
  • Must be able to pass an Explosive Handlers Physical.
Clearance:

Position requires a Secret Clearance that must be maintained for the entire employment.

Experience:
  • Two years' experience conducting explosive ordnance movement and warehousing experience.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience using a two-dimensional barcode.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
Salary Range:

Hourly: $23.43 to $29.18
