We are seeking a motivated Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist to assist us in achieving our objectives.

Position Overview:
As an MRI Specialist, you will conduct magnetic resonance imaging procedures, utilizing MRI technology and your expertise in anatomy and patient positioning to ensure optimal imaging results.

You will explain the imaging process to patients and address any inquiries or concerns they may have.
Conduct MRI examinations adhering to established contrast media protocols.
Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification.
Assess the quality of MRI procedures and determine if additional imaging is necessary before communicating findings to the radiologist.
Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed to support departmental operations.

Qualifications Required:


A minimum of two years of experience in Radiologic Technology to facilitate on-the-job training or one year of experience as an MRI technologist.
ARRT-MR or ARMRIT registration is required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement.

Preference will be given to candidates with two years of experience as an MRI technologist in a hospital setting.
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program is preferred.

Located in Portsmouth, NH, Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a distinguished 234-bed acute care facility providing exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

This facility is the only ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, serving as a vital resource for the community.

It features the region's sole comprehensive heart and vascular program, along with 24/7 neurosurgical and stroke clot retrieval services for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is part of HCA Healthcare, a reputable healthcare provider operating three hospitals, an ambulatory surgery center, two freestanding emergency rooms, an urgent care center, and 46 physician practices in New Hampshire.
