Job Overview

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an essential member of the diagnostic imaging department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality ultrasound services.

About the Role

This is a Ongoing position with a start date as soon as possible. You will work closely with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians to prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams. Your expertise will be utilized to perform ultrasound exams according to departmental protocols and standards, ensuring accurate diagnoses and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Exam Coordination: Prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Ultrasound Exam Performance: Perform ultrasound exams in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, utilizing your technical skills to capture high-quality images.
  • Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the exam process.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate ultrasound equipment with proficiency, performing routine maintenance and reporting any issues to the Assistant Director or Lead Sonographer.
Requirements
  • Certification: Be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Education: Possess a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program or equivalent experience.
  • Skillset: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
