Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to guarantee service reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Work alongside our engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams to design and sustain live services.
  • Plan and predict service capacity and demand, assess software performance, and optimize systems and software.
  • Address critical incidents and create automation to mitigate future occurrences; strive to eliminate all manual tasks.
  • Determine root causes of production challenges and propose lasting solutions.
  • Establish and enhance monitoring systems (metrics, logs, alerts, etc.) to swiftly identify issues.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation, tools, and alerts to recognize and manage risks.
  • Actively engage in initiatives to maintain a secure environment. Review compliance and internal scans, collaborating with development teams to proactively address security vulnerabilities.
  • Create Run Books for Level I NOC personnel to minimize Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) for alerts.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with fellow Site Reliability Engineering team members.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient with Linux container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with both public and private cloud environments: GCP, OpenStack, AWS, and/or Azure.
  • Familiarity with cloud orchestration frameworks (Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, etc.) and their significance in IT transformation.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Linux systems and associated tools (kernel, shell, system libraries, file systems, client-server protocols, etc.).
  • Ability to read and write code fluently in C#, Python, or Go.
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, including git-based CI and CD pipelines.
  • Networking: Knowledge of network theory and protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and load balancing.
  • Extensive experience in distributed systems architectures – layered, event-driven, service mesh, etc.
  • Familiarity with distributed messaging systems like Kafka, Confluent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation Transparency:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000. Please note that this range is a good faith estimate for the role at the time of posting. Individuals may also qualify for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
