Job Summary

This is a PRN position for a Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive, individualized physical therapy services in a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will carry out a thorough assessment, design and implement a plan of care, and maintain a positive working relationship with other professionals and ancillary staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides direct care, evaluates functional needs, and consults with other specialists.
  • Reviews patients' functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate.
  • Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Educates patients and their families about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Current state license and/or certification to provide physical therapy services in good standing.
  • Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • 1+ year of experience preferred.
Working Conditions

The Physical Therapist will work in a healthcare environment, providing services to patients with chronic conditions, illness, or injuries. The job requires the ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations and provide adequate assistance. The Physical Therapist will also be required to maintain compliance with TB and flu requirements for MJ Care and assigned facilities.
