Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer resident medications according to physician orders and company policies.
  • Monitor and report any adverse effects of medications to the Charge Nurse.
  • Record all medication administration accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Notify the Charge Nurse of any medication errors or concerns.
  • Maintain the security and organization of the medication cart and environment.
  • Ensure confidentiality and respect for resident privacy.
  • Adhere to infection control policies for medication administration.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Current Medication Administration certification from the state.
  • Ability to accurately record information and perform technical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and self-discipline skills.
  • Demonstrate competence in medication administration and resident care.
