Counselor Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Counselor Assistant to join our team at Recovering Hope Treatment Center. As a key member of our counseling services, you will play a crucial role in facilitating and enhancing our treatment programs.

• Client Support: Provide empathetic and practical support to clients on their recovery journey.
• Administrative Assistance: Assist counselors with essential tasks such as referrals, faxing, copying, and managing phone calls.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
• Scheduling: Manage appointments and meetings with clients and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in multi-disciplinary staff meetings and training sessions.
• Treatment Services: Deliver treatment services as directed by the treatment team.
• Positive Role Modeling: Be a beacon of positivity and compassion for clients, their families, and children.
• Facility Oversight: Conduct room and vehicle checks, monitor client activity, and assist with intake and discharge processes.
• Visitor Coordination: Facilitate visiting hours and ensure a smooth experience for clients and their visitors.
• Communication: Make necessary phone calls to legal, child welfare, and other relevant contacts.
• Family Involvement: Engage with clients' families to include them in the treatment process.
• Medication Administration: Administer medication as per treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or social services preferred.
• Driver's License: Valid Minnesota Driver's License required.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a DHS background study.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in using computers, laptops, and tablets for documentation and communication.
