- Deliver fundamental personal care services, including monitoring vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as well as tracking food and fluid intake and output; assist with changing non-sterile dressings and provide massages.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and facilitate their travel to bathing facilities.
- Support residents in performing range-of-motion exercises and aid in their movement to wheelchairs or activity areas.
- Observe client behavior and notify appropriate healthcare personnel regarding any crises or concerns.
- Execute and document safe, therapeutic, and efficient care as instructed by nursing staff.
- Respond to signals or intercoms to ascertain residents' needs; utilize designated communication methods for patients with hearing or speech impairments.
- Address the psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs of residents.
- Participate in staff training sessions, meetings, and development activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Valid Nursing Assistant certification in the state of California or equivalent.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of experience in nursing, CNA, or HHA services within a large residential care facility in the past two (2) years is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, evaluation, monitoring, patient/family education, and documentation in compliance with Title 22 requirements.
- Completion of TB Test, fingerprinting, First Aid, CPR, and any other mandatory state or federal requirements upon hire.
- Ability to perform general nursing procedures safely.
- Capability to lift and/or move patients when necessary.
- Exhibit service-oriented behaviors in all interactions with patients, staff, and visitors, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, respect, and polite communication.
- Proficient in reading and writing, with the ability to interpret written instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers and healthcare team members.
- Utilize sound judgment and available information to resolve issues.
- Adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities.
- Strong commitment to the mission and goals of Richmond Area Multi-Services in providing community-based, culturally competent mental health services.
- Engagement in professional development activities such as training, continuing education, and case conferences related to treatment strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse, multi-cultural, and interdisciplinary team.
- Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish, are highly encouraged to apply due to the community served.
