About the Position
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Dialysis Nurse with TravelNurseSource, a leading provider of healthcare staffing solutions. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant data.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on hemodialysis treatment and related health issues.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 9 months of experience as a RN, with at least 3 months of experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis.
- Successful completion of all FKC education and training requirements for new employees.
- Current CPR BLS Certification.
Working Conditions
The Dialysis Nurse will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to infectious and contagious diseases. The position requires standing for prolonged periods, lifting of patients and equipment, and occasional travel to training sites or other facilities.
