Position Summary

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Maintenance Specialist role is a versatile problem solver who is both skilled and motivated. Those comfortable in a clean, regulated environment will thrive in this setting. We seek experienced technicians who can collaborate effectively to achieve overarching goals. Our aim is to build a well-rounded team that leverages each member's strengths to enhance Trulieve's success.

This facility serves as a processing center for various medical cannabis products. The right candidate should possess extensive experience in troubleshooting processing and packaging machinery. Our Maintenance Specialists will also oversee the upkeep of HVAC, lighting, and safety systems within the facility. Flexibility and readiness to tackle diverse tasks are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and install various processing and packaging machinery.
  • Address issues related to the building's electrical distribution, HVAC, and lighting systems.
  • Adhere to planned maintenance schedules to maximize the efficiency and lifespan of production equipment and building systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests based on priority levels.
  • Maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to devise solutions for equipment and facility challenges.
  • Assist in managing inventory of parts and materials.
  • Document the usage of parts and materials accurately.
  • Complete maintenance tasks as outlined in the Planned Maintenance Procedure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with completion of Trade School, Apprenticeship, or relevant Military Experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles and troubleshooting techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical circuits and schematics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting control and low-voltage systems.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as multi-meters and amp meters.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiar with maintenance safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Capable of lifting and transporting materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to identify unsafe conditions and collaborate with team leads to mitigate risks.
  • Strong communication skills in verbal, electronic, and written formats.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
  • Must pass a background screening.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 100 lbs to a height of at least 5 feet and carry such weight a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work in various positions for extended periods, including standing, sitting, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Must be able to handle organic materials daily and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Must have visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading and inspecting small parts.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally at a conversational level with co-workers and vendors.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment of 40+ hours per week, with flexible hours based on departmental needs. Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
