Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our Central Resource Pool Team at TriCities Hospital. As a CRP Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care while floating throughout the facility to various nursing units, including Intensive Care/ICU, Emergency Room (ER), Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Step-Down, Behavioral Health, and Outpatient Surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical management of patients and ensure satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff members)
- Participate in Quality Management activities and promote cost-effective unit operations
- Document nursing care in Meditech
- Assist in the orientation of new personnel and identify or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of the unit and the nursing department
Requirements:
- Current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing (or multi-state compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia)
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- At least two years of previous nursing experience in an acute care facility required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
