UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Senior Physician Assistant to support our Minimally Invasive Bariatric and General Surgery department. Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of prior experience as a Physician Assistant.
Work Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with occasional on-call duties or weekend shifts as necessary.
Position Overview: This role involves working in a surgical environment with a focus on bariatric procedures. The responsibilities include approximately 60% operating room duties, 35% outpatient clinic activities, and 5% hospital rounding.
Department Insights: Our academic department comprises over 30 professionals, including five surgeons, three fellows, and seven advanced practice providers. The Bariatric Program is recognized as a Comprehensive Center with qualifications for adolescent care, offering opportunities for research involvement.
